How To Use this WebsiteThe website includes several features which help to increase the ease of use of PlanCheyenne. This section will help you to familiarize yourself with the tools available and streamline your search process.Expandable Plan Menu(Left Side Column)The top button, Executive Summary, provides a PDF version of this document for quick reference. If you’re new to PlanCheyenne, this is a great place to start and familiarize yourself with the process and structure of the document. The expandable plan menu allows users to open and close various sections of the plan. The three primary sections, Community Plan, Parks & Recreation Plan, and Transportation Plan expand when clicked upon to reveal the four standard sections of each plan; Snapshot, Structure, Shape, and Build. Under each of these four sections, there are several file options. Some files will open in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Clicking on these files will open a new window in which the plan’s text will be displayed. If additional files are available under the same subheading, a box with a + or – is present. Clicking on these boxes will expand or contract the menu of files. A symbol with a globe (insert symbol here) indicates that the information is available in HTML format. Clicking on these files will open the information in the web browser next to the plan menu bar. Each of the four sections under each plan is available in a Printer Friendly Format. Look for this symbol (ADD New Symbol on menu bar) to open the entire section, but be aware that these documents are large and could take some time to fully open and print. If you are looking for a map, click on the Maps menu bar and several areas of the plan will be available for you to locate various plan maps without searching through the individual plans. Search Menu(Top Row Drop Down Menus)These menu bars allow for searches of the plan based on key words or principles. If you are curious about a specific topic, this is the tool for you. How Can I Find Out More About…? Click on the down arrow at the end of this box for a list of key items discussed in the plan and click on “Go”. This feature will display a general definition of the topic and identify areas of the plan that include that specific concept. The results are divided into two categories; Primary Results and Secondary Results. The Primary results have been prioritized to include information that is most likely relevant to your search. The Secondary results may include a vast array of information with a brief mention of the keyword somewhere within the document. Design Principles Search Click on the down arrow at the end of this box for a list of design principles discussed in the plan and click on “Go”. These items are divided into the three primary plan areas; Community Design Principles, Parks & Recreation Design Principles, and Transportation Design Principles. Under each of these three categories, the titles are descriptive to identify the principle according to the project type, including; Multi-Family, Industrial, Regional Gateway, and Urban Plazas. |
